The GE SNMP Card delivers SNMP, Telnet and web-management capability for enhanced communications and control of GE IT Series Line Interactive UPS’s. The card manages a wide range of operating parameters, alarms and notifications, transmitting data over the network.

Description

• UPS Management
  The SNMP Agent makes the UPS information visible on the network. It creates the powerful possibility to monitor and manage the UPS with industry-standard Network Management Software like Tivoli®, HP-Openview®, CA Unicenter®, NetView® and others.
• Computer Protection
  Besides management of the UPS, protection software plays a very important role in the total power solution concept. All Digital EnergyTM protection software has the capability to monitor locally connected UPS as well as UPS on network equipped with an SNMP agent. This creates the ability to configure very flexible protection schemes.

  A typical example is an application server which is depending on a database server. The protection software on the application server will detect a power failure on the database server and will start to close all database connections before the database server itself shuts down.

• UPS Monitoring and Configuration
  Monitoring and configuration of the UPS and SNMP/Web Interface Card is made easy by the implementation of a Web server. This allows you to access all the details of both the UPS and the SNMP/Web Interface Card itself by using your favourite Internet browser.
