This DB9/Mux board (Symmetra Communications Card - SYCC) is a user replaceable module that is used to multiplex the serial data from the MIM and RIM to up to four smart slots, a 9-pin computer interface port, a remote PowerView port and an XR extended run battery frame communication card port. This module contains the DB9 computer interface port connector as well as a connector for I 2 C communications with an XR Extended Run frame (up to 7 extended run frames can be daisy chained together), and an RJ45 connector for communicating with a remote PowerView display. This module can be removed without affecting basic Symmetra Power Array operation, but all communications will be lost. This module is intended only for the APC Symmetra series of power backup products.
