APC SmartUPS XL
| The XL series from APC allows you to extend the length of time that a UPS will provide power to the equipment connected to it. Most UPS units will provide a runtime of 5-30 minutes depending on the load. With an XL unit, external battery packs can be connected to the base unit to provide runtimes exceeding 24 hours, if needed. Typical applications requiring longer runtime include critical application servers and storage, IP and PBX based voice networks, VOIP phones and enterprise network switches and hubs. Up to 10 external battery packs can be connected to a single SmartUPS XL unit.
