The Matrix 5000 unit comes with two included SmartCell External Battery Packs. Additional SmartCells may be purchased to extend the amount of time that the UPS will run on batteries. A single Matrix 5000VA UPS will support up to 10 external SmartCells. The first SmartCell connects to the back of the Matrix 5000 units itself. Each subsequent SmartCell connects to the SmartCell before it in a daisy-chain type arrangement.

Note: This is a high voltage 208 volt uninterruptible power supply. It is designed for use in North America and requires special plugs and circuits. Please make sure that you do require uninterrupted power for 208V equipment before ordering this battery backup. This UPS unit is NOT designed for use in countries that have 220-240 volt 50Hz power.
